BIPOC Expo Summary

The 1st Annual BIPOC Business Expo was held on Saturday June 4th at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Center, MN. The expo consisted of a skill building workshop; Themed: Rebuilding Foundations-The Do’s and Don’ts of doing Business featuring topics such as Business planning, legal/Insurance, Finance, Marketing, Mental Health, a trade fair where BIPOC Businesses showcased their products and services and a 99 second pitch competition which featured BIPOC business owners.  

We would like to extend our thanks to Chase Bank and The City of Brooklyn Center, for supporting us as our platinum sponsors and The City of Brooklyn Park as our Silver Sponsor. A special thanks to MEDA for sponsoring our private meet and greet happy hour on Friday June 3rd. We will also like to highlight and give thanks to our partners as their contribution is an intricate part of this event.

IFRI in collaboration with the Founders Club is proud to announce the top 5 #BIPOC businesses that will be pitching live during the 1st Annual BIPOC Business Expo on Saturday June 4, 2022 at the Earle Brown Heritage Center. These founders will pitch their businesses during the Expo. They will also receive a free vendor booth to display their product or services. The winner will receive the Founders Live winners’ package which includes $10,000 in Amazon Web Services (AWS) credits as well as the opportunity to continue on to compete in a future Founders Live Prime Time global event. ALL PRESENTERS EARN $5,000 TOWARDS AWS credits.

Summary of event 

IFRI is a “Life Solution” company that provides innovative ways to improve productivity and provide stability for BIPOC Businesses and individuals. IFRI seeks to create a convenient pathway to better a quality of life for BIPOC and others alike. As a means of empowering BIPOC Business, IFRI, engages these businesses in several meaningful ways intended to garner support for said businesses and help them realize their full potential. The BIPOC Business Expo is unique to the Midwest as it intends to exclusively highlight minority owned businesses looking closely at these entrepreneurs, their life stories, their motivation, looking at the balance between running their families and their businesses at the same time and their plan for sustainability and growth. This program will showcase the entrepreneurial and innovative skills of these business owners, their achievements, and recognize them for their contribution to society. The BIPOC Business Expo will be a one-day event held in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.

Event Activities

  • Conduct a trade fair where BIPOC Businesses will showcase their products and services
  • Conduct skill building workshops with well qualified and experience panelists. Theme: Rebuilding foundations-The Do’s and Don’ts of doing business.  Topic includes: Business Planning, Legal, Insurance, Access to capital, Finance and Marketing
  • Host the Founders Live Pitching competition and distribute awards during the expo.

  Vendor tickets include:

  • 1 workshop ticket
  • 1 Vendor table (30in deep x 8ft long)
  • 2 chairs per vendor table
  • Listing in the Expo Souvenir Booklet
  • A ticket to a private meet and greet on Friday June 3rd with partners and other stakeholders
